Community Relations

Mission Statement

The Office of Community Relations is committed to advancing the health and well being of our local communities as an important part of the mission of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The Office works with community partners to ensure that we fulfill our responsibility as both a good neighbor and a corporate citizen.

The Office of Community Relations has many long standing relationships with various agencies and organizations throughout the Greater Boston area. A sampling of some of the important work and partnerships that BIDMC has in and around Boston include:

• Community Speakers Bureau
• Explorations Program
• Community Health Grants
• Healthy Work/Healthy Home: A BIDMC Environmental Initiative
• AIDS Walk and 5K Run
• 9/11 Blood Drive in partnership with the Boston Red Sox and American Red Cross
